As a clinical psychologist for over 20 years drawing from mindfulness-based, cognitive and emotion-focused approaches, I help people move through their current challenges and ultimately toward that which matters most to them.
Clients often come to therapy for anxiety, depression, grief, or major life changes such as retirement, parenthood, divorce, or serious health problems. Naturally, people want to feel relief from the discomfort and sense of isolation that these issues can cause. But I find that most people also want to feel more resilient, closer to those they love, kinder to themselves and more committed to their well-being. In psychotherapy, you have the support and opportunity to do this.
I offer skills, perspectives and feedback if helpful. I am active in session and integrative in my approach, i.e. applying mindfulness-based psychotherapies, CBT and EMDR. Perhaps most importantly, I bring my deep respect for the unique healing process and growth work that my clients are doing, both in session and in their lives beyond therapy.
You are welcome to contact me for a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to see if I might be the right therapist for you.
